At the reception, Vice Chairman of Thua Thien Hue provincial People's Committee Phan Thien Dinh highly appreciated garment production of HanesBrands Vietnam Company - Hue (HBI Hue) which makes important contribution to the development of local industry, trade, society and economy.

Vice Chairman Phan Thien Dinh kindly informed that global economy has had considerable impact on Vietnam economy in general and Thua Thien Hue economy in particular. However, province still observed encouraging results in foreign investment. At present, Thua Thien Hue has become the destination of many large groups and enterprises in various fields. Of all, Hanesbrands Inc has contributed to enhancing the position of Thua Thien Hue province in domestic and international scope.

Garment and textile field is considered as one of local development orientations. The province is making effort to become one of the centers for country-wide textile and garment across the country. Therefore, Vice Chairman hoped that Hanesbrands will continue to expand investment and development in province. Thua Thien Hue province will facilitate group's production, support Hanesbrands to overcome current obstacles in incentive policies and taxation policies.

According to Mr. Jerry Cook - Vice President of Hanesbrands Inc, Hanesbrands Inc has 03 factories in Hue and provides job for over 6.000 laborers. In addition to high quality production and business, Hanesbrands Inc also actively performs social obligations. Mr. Jerry Cook praised the effective cooperation and support of departments, agencies and localities in the past time. Hanesbrands would like to expand factory, production scope in Vietnam as well as Thua Thien Hue province. The representative of Hanesbrands group believed that the concern and support of provincial leader will help the Group continue to develop in the future.
