At the working session, Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Phan Ngoc Tho kindly informed that Thua Thien Hue - Grand Poitiers cooperation relation has been unceasingly strengthened since Grand Poitiers's visit at the invitation of Thua Thien Hue province on the 8th Hue Festival occasion (April, 2018). In recent years, Thua Thien Hue province has established cooperation relations with French localities and partners. Throughout festival seasons, the Republic of France is still an important partner of Thua Thien Hue province. Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Phan Ngoc Tho extended his pleasure to observe that Grand Poitiers is becoming the leading city in Nouvelle Aquitaine region.

At the working session, the two parties discussed about cooperating in the fields of training, technology development, intensive health care, education and cultural heritage conservation; organizing Hue Festival and signing bilateral cooperation memorandum of understanding.

In the evening of the same day, Thua Thien Hue delegation had a field trip and working session with units specializing in organizing Festival activities as well as artisans of Grand Poitiers city.
