Speaking at the reception, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Comittee Dinh Khac Dinh kindly informed that Thua Thien hue province received valuable supports from far and near overseas Vietnamese in 2017. In detail, overseas Vietnammese community carried out many meaningful activities such as organizing "Meeting Vietnam" scholarship award ceremony 2017; receiving and exhibiting artworks of painter Le Ba Dang; helping people affected by flood and storms; supporting and implementing projects and program on poverty alleviation; projects on social security and community support, etc. Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dinh Khac Dinh acknowledged active contributions of overseas Vietnamese which contributed to advertise and introduce image and position of province as well as its people to international friends and partners. Thanks to overseas Vietnamese support, many projects and cooperation programs on various fields such as tourism, infrastructure, rural development, poverty alleviation, climate change adaptation, healthcare, education and training, investment promotion, etc were singed and implemented. In the time to come, Thua Thien Hue province expects to continue to observe support and contribution of overseas Vietnamese in all sectors.
On New Year occasion, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dinh Khac Dinh wished overseas Vietnamese success, happiness and health. Vice Chairman Dinh also hoped to see further contribution of overseas Vietnamese community to homeland province.
