At the reception, Mr. Thomas J.Vallely kindly informed the purpose of his visit to Thua Thien Hue province. Accordingly, the representative of Fulbright University Vietnam aimed to discuss with local leaders about establishing the cooperation relation between Fulbright University Vietnam, Harvard Kennedy University (the USA) and Thua Thien Hue province in the fields of culture and heritage. Particularly, Mr. Thomas J.Vallely hoped to carry out programs to incubate Vietnam culture as well as Hue culture by joining in programs implemented at Vietnam Art and Heritage Center.

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman Phan Ngoc Tho extended his pleasure to receive Mr. Thomas J.Vallely - the Chairman of Fulbright University Vietnam's Governing Board. The leader of Thua Thien Hue province kindly shared that Thua Thien Hue province concerns about conserving, promoting Hue heritage and cultural values. In this attempt, training programs on Hue culture and folk arts have been introduced in high school education system. Besides, Thua Thien Hue province wished to cooperate with world leading universities to promote and introduce Hue traditional culture. It is hoped that many cooperation programs between Thua Thien Hue province, Fulbright University Vietnam and Harvard Kennedy University will be developed.
