On behalf of local authority and people, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Dung wished overseas Vietnamese success and happiness.

Speaking at the reception, Vice Chairman briefly introduced achievements in socio-economic development of Thua Thien Hue province in 2018. Despite challenges, province obtained considerable achievements in socio-economic development thanks to the solidarity and unceasing efforts of both local people and authority. In detail, Thua Thien Hue province reached 7,15% economic growth, observed transformations in urban and rural areas as well as ensured social order, national defense and security.

In addition, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Dung acknowledged the important contribution of overseasVietnamese who contributed to advertising and introducing the image and position of Thua Thien Hue as well as its people to international friends and partners. Thanks to the support of overseas Vietnamese, many investment projects and cooperation programs on the fields of tourism, education and training, healthcare, climate change adaptation, investment development projects, infrastructure, etc were signed and deployed. These contributed to alleviating poverty as well as enhancing locals' material and spiritual life.

 Vice Chairman emphasized that the authority and people of Thua Thien Hue province acknowledged and were grateful for the priceless contribution of overseas Vietnamese and partners in the past time. Besides, Vice Chairman hoped that Thua Thien Hue overseas community will continue to join hand and contribute to local socio-economic development.

In the cozy and friendly atmosphere, overseas Vietnamese extended their pleasure to observe the development and transformation of province. They also hoped to have a chance to contribute to local development.
