In the past time, NPA supported Thua Thien Hue in humanitarian and post-war recovery projects, especially the mine clearance project deployed in Thua Thien Hue province (Explosive Remnant of War Risk Reduction Project).

In its first phase (2015-2016), the project cleared 901.490 m2 and detected 1.196 explosive materials. Besides, it also cleared, detected and ensured safety for 50 football fields (146.000 m2 in total) in A Luoi, Quang Dien, Phu Vang, Nam Dong, Huong Thuy town, Huong Tra town and Hue city. On this basis, NPA continued to grant VND 14 billion for the second phase (2018-2020) of "Explosive Remnant of War Risk Reduction Project" deployed in Thua Thien Hue. At present, relevant units of Thua Thien Hue province are preparing to launch the project in the coming time.

On behalf of the Party, local authority and people, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Dung highly appreciated the result of "Explosive Remnant of War Risk Reduction Project" as well as the support of NPA in post-war recovery activities in Vietnam.
