On this visit, the French Ambassador Nicolas Warnery hoped to promote the traditional cooperation relation between the Republic of France and Vietnam in general and the Republic of France and Thua Thien Hue province in particular. Speaking at the meeting, the Ambassador extended his sincere thank to Thua Thien Hue province for facilitating French activities in Hue, including the bilingual program in Quoc Hoc Hue Gifted High School and French Institute in Hue.
In the coming time, the Ambassador of the Republic of France to Vietnam would continue supporting the province, especially on Hue Festival seasons. The Ambassador also hoped to be supported in organizing French activities in Hue, deploying French translation services to support oversea students including Hue students studying in France.
At the meeting
At the meeting, Chairman Phan Ngoc Tho affirmed the effective cooperation relation between Thua Thien Hue province and the Republic of France in the past time, especially in education and training, healthcare, cultural exchange and world heritage conservation. Through over 10 Hue Festival seasons, the province has received both material and spiritual supports from French government and localities. France is also the main partner of Thua Thien Hue province on these occasions.
Chairman hoped that the Ambassador would concern and carry out more practical activities to upgrade the cooperation relation between Vietnam and France as well as that between Thua Thien Hue and French localities; promote the comprehensive cooperation relation in the fields of education, healthcare, tourism, investment attraction and heritage conservation. In particular, the province hoped to broadcast local culture to French partners and introduce French culture in Vietnam by calling for the participation of French localities on Hue Festival. Chairman Phan Ngoc Tho hoped that the Ambassador would support the province in attracting French investors to Thua Thien Hue. Chairman emphasized that the province would be side by side and offer investment incentives to attract and support investors.
