Chairman Nguyen Van Cao congratulated Ms. Xi Hui on her new assignment as the first Chinese Consul General in Da Nang. In addition to introducing potentialities and advantages of the province, the host leader emphasized that Thua Thien Hue is one of the big centres of culture, tourism, science – technology, intensive healthcare, one of the multi-sectoral and multidisciplinary centers of education – training of high quality of the country. The PPC Chairman expressed his hope that Ms. Xi Hui, in her position, would promote good relations between China and Vietnam, especially localities in the Central Vietnam including Thua Thien Hue; strengthen the comprehensive cooperation between Thua Thien Hue and other localities of China in the areas of investment, trade, tourism, healthcare, and education.

 Ms. Xi Hui lauded the development of Thua Thien Hue socio-economy, healthcare, and education in the past years and stressed that the establishment of the Chinese Consulate General in Da Nang marks a new relationship level betweenChina and Vietnam. The newly-appointed Consul General pledged that she would attempt to promote cooperation and exchanges in various areas between localities of China and Vietnam.
