"Policy Dialogue on Women and the Economy 2017" conference will be organized in Indochine Palace hotel (105A Hung Vuong street, Hue city). Disseminate information about Vietnam APEC year 2017

Up to now, preparation work for the conference has been completed. One month ago, many meetings were organized by Thua Thien Hue province to guide relevant departments and agencies to build plans to prepare for coordination work serving the conference; coordinate with subcommittees of APEC 2017 National Committee to survey, select and figure out options to arrange accommodations for delegations, enterprises, international friends attending the conference safely; build options and plans for reception, logistics, picking up and dropping off delegates at the airport and conference site.

According to Director of Department of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Tran Cong Phu,  Provincial People's Committee guided Department of Foreign Affairs to select 30 liaison officers having favorable expertise and experience and 50 volunteers who are young officers working in departments or energetic university students having good foreign language competence. Selected candidates then have a chance to participate in the training course on reception and foreign affairs to serve at the conference.

Regards to security and health care, Thua Thien Hue province actively selected staff for rehearsal to ensure absolute security before, during and after the conference; built plans to ensure security, order, traffic safety in Hue city center and national 1A road crossing Huong Thuy town and Phu Loc district; installed camera system for security monitoring in conference sites and locations where delegates are going to visit such as Hue citadel, tomb, Hue monuments, Hue Culture Museum...

Fire prevention and fighting plans have also been actively built at locations and hotels during the time the conference is held. Besides, Thua Thien Hue province will focus on food safety, epidemic prevention and environmental protection at Phu Bai International Airport; plans to prepare medicines and assign staff to timely deal with unexpected case are built at large medical centers and hospitals.
