Thua Thien Hue PPC Vice Chairman Nguyen Dung, Nouvelle-Aquitaine Regional Council President Alain Rousset, and Lao Cai PPC Chairman Dang Xuan Phong officially signed the Collaborative Framework Agreement between Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region, Thua Thien Hue, and Lao Cai for the period 2017-2019, with the witness of Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Son, Ambassador of Vietnam to France on March 17.

The Collaborative Framework Agreement for the period 2017-2019 will be a prerequisite for deep cooperation, understanding, and solidarity of 3 localities in various areas and also a step to deepen the strategic partnership between the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Republic of France.

Within the frame of the visit, the delegation also paid a visit to the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, Bordeaux City, Perigord province, Grand Perigeux urban community, Perigeux city, La Rouchelle city, La Rochelle university, the world heritages such as Lascaux cave, Galo-romain  museum in Perigord, etc.

      Nouvelle-Aquitaine region is the name for the merger of three regions: Aquitaine, Limousin, and Poitou-Charentes since January 1, 2016. Poitou-Charentes (formerly) has been a traditional partner of Thua Thien Hue province since 1998.
