At the meeting, Ms. Indira Lopez Arguelles was impressed by local beauty and expressed her sympathy for losses that the province experienced in recent floods. Having briefly informed Cuban socio-economic situation, Mrs. Indira Lopez Arguelles hoped to promote cooperation in health care, industry on the basis of Cuban strengths and investment incentives applied to foreign enterprises including Vietnam.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman Nguyen Thanh Binh extended his sincere thank to Mrs. Indira Lopez Arguelles, the Consul General of the Republic of Cuba in Ho Chi Minh city for visiting the province. Discussing with the Consul General about cooperation and investment opportunities, Vice Chairman Nguyen Thanh Binh agreed with suggestions of the Consul General and hoped to welcome Cuban investors to research local strong fields such as healthcare, education, industry and tourism. Vice Chairman believed Thua Thien Hue would be a promising destination for Cuban enterprises thanks to its leading intensive healthcare and medical training center as well as industrial zones across the province.

Based on Cuba - Vietnam relation, Vice Chairman hoped that the relationship between Thua Thien Hue province and Cuba would be maintained and strengthened in the time to come through cooperative activities among enterprises, localities and cultural exchange on Hue Festival, local special event.
