The project is aimed to improve human security for communities at targeted areas; promote sustainable rural development through sustainable livelihood and infrastructure. Sponsored by Korean government, the non-refundable project will be implemented in A Luoi district from 2022 to 2026 with the total capital of no more than USD 3.229.246.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman Nguyen Van Phuong highly appreciated the success and contribution that KOICA made in Vietnam in general and Thua Thien Hue province in the past time in various fields including education, training, healthcare, information technology, infrastructure, etc. Particularly, KOICA supported local socio-economic development. In 2022, it was Thua Thien Hue's pleasure to continue to cooperate with KOICA in KVPVP in A Luoi district, proving the special concern that KOICA expressed to the province. The provincial leader believed that the project will be successful, making positive contribution to implementing socio-economic development objective of Thua Thien Hue in general and A Luoi district in particular.

Mr. Cho Han-Deog, the country director of Korea International Cooperation Agency in Vietnam expected that the project will help improve human security; promote sustainable rural development, sustainable livelihood and infrastructure for community in A Luoi district. At the same time, the project will contribute to long-term, sustainable cooperation between Thua Thien Hue and South Korea in general, Thua Thien Hue and KOICA in particular as well as Thua Thien Hue and United Nation Development Program. The two sides are expected to closely cooperate, so that the project will be effectively and successfully carried out.
