At the reception, German Ambassador Christian Berger highly appreciated achievements obtained in bilateral cooperation relation in fields including culture, health, education and human resource training in the past time. In the time to come, the Ambassador of the Republic of Germany to Vietnam will take interest and promote cooperation as well as support activities in Thua Thien Hue province. Of all, special attention is drawn to people diplomatic activities through tourism, attracting German enterprises to cooperate and invest in Hue. In an attempt to expand the friendly cooperation relationship between Thua Thien Hue province and one city in Germany, German Department will be established at Hue University of Foreign Languages.

Speaking at the reception, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Phan Ngoc Tho extended his sincere thank to German government for the concern and support given to Thua Thien Hue province in Hue heritage conservation, high quality human resource training and demining. Thua Thien Hue province wished to maintain and promote the cooperation relation in various fields, especially expanding friendly and cooperative relation with localities of the Republic of Germany, Chairman emphasized. Chairman hoped that German Ambassador will facilitate Thua Thien Hue province in demining work within projects on conserving, embellishing Hue Citadel as well as introducing investors and enterprises to invest in Thua Thien Hue province.
