According to Mr. Shibasaki Eiji, 60 JICA volunteers are sent to Vietnam for 2 year-long assignment on this occasion. Of all, there are two volunteers dispatched to Thua Thien Hue province i.e Mr. Obikane Yasuo, mechanical engineer working in Hue Industrial College and Ms. Suzuki majored in tourism working in Department of Tourism. Therefore, JICA representative wished provincial leaders would support volunteers to approach, well complete assigned tasks as well as make positive contribution to local education and tourism.
Speaking at the reception, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Phan Ngoc Tho kindly informed that the cooperation relation between Vietnam and Japan has further developed.Besides, Thua Thien Hue province has also established cooperation relation with Japanese localities and partners, especially in education and training, health, etc. In particular, provincial leader aknowledged and appraised JICA's support as 36 volunteers have been dispatched to Thua Thien Hue province since 2000. Vice Chairman Phan Ngoc Tho highly appreciated JICA for sending volunteers to Thua Thien Hue province. Thua Thien Hue province and relevant agencies will support JICA volunteers in completing assigned mission during the time working in province, Vice Chairman emphasized.
