The event is the beginning of development promotion program to support enterprises, researchers, start-up companies as well as management agencies. It aims to discuss, study, make technological development policy for Thua Thien Hue province in general as well as information technology and tourism policies in particular.
After the opening ceremony, delegates discussed "Innovative and technological city development policy" and “Technology trend". Experts and speakers frankly discussed strengths, limitations, and solutions for Hue development.

In his concluding speech, Chairman Phan Ngoc Tho affirmed that Hue will develop on the basis of its 4 strengths, i.e. intellect, heritage culture tradition, natural scenery and culture heritage. Detail policies on education and training, innovation and economic development will be soon made. The province acknowledges ideas and will work on current limitations. A conference on education reform, agricultural development and information technology will be held in the coming time.
