At the reception, Mr. Craig Chittick extended his thank to provincial leaders for the warm and hospitable welcome. Mr. Craig Chittick also expressed his strong impression on the beauty of scenery, environment and heritage of Thua Thien Hue province as well as accomplishments achieved in the cooperation relation between Australia and Thua Thien Hue province in education and training, economy, culture and tourism in recent years.

      On this occasion, the Australia's new Ambassador confirmed his determination in continuing to accelerate the cooperation relation between the two countries in general and between Australia and Thua Thien Hue province in particular.

      Speaking at the reception, Chairman of Provincial People's Committee - Mr. Nguyen Van Cao strongly emphasized the cooperation relation between Australia and Thua Thien Hue province in various fields, such as culture, health care, education and training. Chairman Nguyen Van Cao highly appreciated encouraging results of projects sponsored by Australia in Thua Thua Hue in recent years, such as projects on bomb detection, education and training, human resource training… and especially is the enthusiast contribution of Australian art troupes in Hue Festival seasons, which leaves great impression on locals and tourists.

        Chairman of Provincial People's Committee - Mr. Nguyen Van Cao looked forward to see more support and comprehensive cooperation from Australia in various fields, such as economy, tourism, health care, culture, human resource training, bomb-detecting activities, and ODA projects. Chairman Nguyen Van Cao also kindly suggested Mr. Craig Chittick to support Thua Thien Hue province to introduce and welcome Australian investors to invest and conduct research activities in Thua Thien Hue province; send art troupes to Hue Festival 2018 event as an attempt to promote cultural exchange and understanding activities between Vietnam and Australia.
