According to a survey carried out by Tourism Department, Thailand is considered as a promising and vital tourist market. Thai tourists mainly visit cultural heritages, experience traditional arts, discover local cuisine and go shopping.

Local tourism has favorable conditions to attract and welcome Thai tourists. As Thua Thien Hue is conducting a friendly cooperative program with Bangkok, the two sides may easily support each other in promotion programs. However, Thai tourists often visited localities in the north and the south Vietnam.

Bangkok - Danang airway was recently re-established. Accordingly, the flight frequency will be increased from May 2022. Therefore, the linkage among Thua Thien Hue, Danang, Quang Nam, Quang Binh and Quang Tri will help localities support each others in transporting, developing and diversifying tourism products.

At the meeting

At the meeting, the leader of Thai Vietjet suggested tourism promotion plan in Thailand, the initial funding for charter flights, exploiting the airway connecting the ancient capital of Thailand and Laos, introducing Bangkok-Danang airway, reducing or giving tourists exemption from entrance fee to Hue's relics, discounting hotel price, providing free large billboard in the province and organizing Famtrip delegations from Thua Thien Hue to Bangkok.

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman Nguyen Van Phuong highly appreciated efforts made by Thai Vietjet to bring Thai tourists to Hue; establish airway connecting Thailand and Hue as well as the Central Vietnam. The provincial leader emphasized that company's suggestions are appropriate with the province. Relevant departments were requested to adopt measures to consider these suggestions as well as advertise and develop tours.

The provincial leader kindly requested Tourism Department to chair and discuss with Thai Vietjet to make a plan on organizing specific flight so that Hue - Thailand flight will soon be established and  maintained, connecting the tourism market between Thailand and Hue - the Central Vietnam.
