Thua Thien Hue soars in 2019 PCI ranking   Ngày cập nhật 08/05/2020
On May 5th, 2019 Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI) ranking was released at a launching ceremony held in Ha Noi city by Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and US Agency for International Development (USAID). With 66,50 points, Thua Thien Hue is one of the localities having mid-high PCI. It soared from 30th in 2018 to 20th in 2019.
Of all, both law and order and labor training criterion achieved the highest score so far, at 7,35. Other sub-indices, namely transparency, time costs, informal charges, policy bias and proactivity were considerably improved.
According to VCCI Chairman, the Chairperson of PCI Steering Committee Vu Tien Loc, 2019 PCI indicated positive reform at grassroots level. In particular, 2019 recorded the highest average PCI so far. This showed the narrow gap in governance quality among localities and the comprehensive reform in provinces.
