At the meeting, Chairman Phan Ngoc Tho and Professor Douglas W. Elmendorf - the rector of Harvard Kennedy University discussed and reached an agreement on bilateral cooperation policy in the coming time. 
Accordingly, the two parties would focus on expanding the cooperation relation in the fields of human resource education and training. Of all, parties would concentrate on developing teaching content and documents; disseminating Hue history and culture; creating every favorable condition for Fulbright program students to learn about Hue, its history and culture. Harvard Kennedy University would learn about the cooperation capacity between Fulbright program, Harvard Yenching Institute and Hue University of Arts in incubating and promoting Hue traditional cultural values; consider and provide Ph. D scholarship programs for leading Hue culture specialists and enhance cultural management capacity in Thua Thien Hue province.
Chairman Phan Ngoc Tho hoped that Harvard Kennedy University and Fulbright Vietnam would learn about developing Han - Nom museum; support Thua Thien Hue province in converting and 3D digitalizing artifacts currently stored in the province heading towards a modern museum. On the occasion of Vietnamese traditional lunar new year, Chairman of the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue province Phan Ngoc Tho wished Professor Douglas W. Elmendorf health and success in the new year. Chairman hoped that the bilateral cooperation relation would be further developed in the coming time.
